Position Description Purpose: The position of Receptionist/Greeter is to welcome taxpayers, check them in, schedule appointments, answer telephone calls, email and other similar responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments for taxpayers calling or forward to appropriate staff or volunteer. 2. Check voicemail on an ongoing basis and return calls or refer to appropriate staff or volunteer. 3. Check emails daily and respond back to emails or forward as appropriate. 4. Greet taxpayers arriving to the office, check them in for their appointment and ask them to complete the intake form. Check to make sure that they have all the documents they need, including photo ID and Social Security for all individuals on the return. 5. Review the completed intake form to ensure that all information is completed and that the return is within the scope of the program. Request that all documents be removed from the envelopes and placed inside the intake form. 6. Reschedule appointments for taxpayers as needed.
Requirements
Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide excellent customer service.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and windows applications.
Ability to work with others as a team.
High school diploma or equivalent.
