Description

The Director, Communications will be responsible for enhancing the brand (reputation) of EQT and growing our community of engaged stakeholders through effective & modern communication. Effective communication actions will include translating company themes into compelling storyboards, and development of branded content that will resonate with our audience. Modern communication actions will include leveraging cutting-edge social media technology to drive reach, recognition, and engagement with our stakeholders.

The ideal candidate must thrive in a transparent, fast-paced environment with limited supervision, and quickly comprehend and respond to new stimulus, as necessary.  The ideal candidate will have experience managing social media accounts, great project management skills, and a passion for digital content development and community management.

Responsibilities

  • Create content.  Write, design, and produce, and manage content in alignment with branding and messaging across all platform audiences.
  • Responsible for production, coordination, and updates of EQT videos for distribution and placement on website, social medial platforms, presentations, etc.
  • Responsible for creation of EQT advertising campaigns, including strategic ad placement, copywriting, photo selection
  • Manage third-party vendors for creative design and print production as needed.
  • Maintain and update social media schedule calendar across social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Manage stakeholder engagement by leveraging social listening tools to monitor and respond to conversations on owned channels and around relevant brand and category topics
  • Participate in tactical ideation with EQT leadership to evolve our modern communications performance.
  • Create and maintain change management process to ensure evergreen continuity of website content
  • Assist with crisis communication support and other special projects as needed.


Requirements

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Creative, passionate, forward-thinking, tech-savvy and results driven
  • Understanding of social media platforms and social marketing strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interface with all levels of the organization, including executives
  • Superior time management skills, ability to manage delivery of multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Comfort level with both strategy development and tactical execution, with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional adaptability skills, with the ability to absorb new information/situations and adjust accordingly in an efficient and effective manner
  • Ability to effectively track, manage and own budgetary spend

Required Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications or a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field

Preferred Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in corporate communications or a similar role
  • Energy industry experience
  • Previous supervisory/management experience
  • Agency experience
